ALEX SWINTON MCLEOD

Research interests:  Low temperature plasmonics in ultra-high mobility graphene; tunable insulator-metal transitions in strained correlated oxides and charge density wave systems; scanning near-field optical microscopy at low temperatures; theory and interpretation of near-field optical microscopy.

Projects: Guiding & controlling ballistic plasmons in high mobility graphene devices; nano-optics of graphene modulated by a tunable Moiré potential; infrared nano-imaging and spectroscopy of insulator-metal transitions in strained vanadates, nickelates, & ruthenates.
